Like many artists of his time, Fritz Klimsch mainly devoted himself to composing female nudes. Despite the influence of Greek antiquity, as well as the sculptures of Rodin and Hildebrand, his primary concern was an examination of nature, not of other artists. Klimsch succeeded in creating figures which radiate an overall harmony and tranquillity through various forms, gestures and expressions combined with suitably chosen titles. "Sturm" and "Rastende" are two such examples that show Klimsch’s creative talent in expressing the full grace of the female form.
