BUREAU PLAT,
Louis XVI, signed L. PERIDIEZ (Louis Péridiez, maître 1764), guild stamp, Paris ca. 1780.
Mahogany in veneer, and shaped. Rectangular top, lined with gold-stamped, black leather, in part defective, with shaped bronze edging. Front with broad central drawer and 2 smaller drawers. Same, but sham arrangement on verso. Bronze mounts and sabots, in part replaced and altered. Requires some restoration.
