SMALL LADY'S WRITING DESK,

Louis XV, attributable to P. MIGEON (Pierre II or IV Migeon, maître 1739) , Paris ca. 1750.
Rosewood and purpleheart in veneer, finely inlaid with diamond and lozenge patterns. Hinged writing surface, lined with gold-impressed, red leather. 2 adjacent drawers. Fitted interior with central drawer below 2 compartments, and 2 drawers below one compartment on each side. Secret compartment. Gilt bronze mounts and sabots. Free-standing.
