MINIATURE MODEL OF AN ALCOVE,

Meissen, ca. 1740.
Bow–shaped niche, pierced and decorated with ivy and bands, and accentuated with purple, green and gold. The top crowned by a female mascaron with leaf and shell decoration. Remains of an underglaze blue sword mark. H 15.3 cm. Remains of old inventory numbers in black and red on the bottom. Small chip in the pierced wall.
