SMALL PORCELAIN BOX FOR BEAUTY SPOTS,
Meissen, ca. 1750. With gilt metal mount.
Model by Johann Joachim Kändler, 1737. Conical box designed as a grape–picking container with a mirror on the inside. The shoulder piece with a heart–shaped piercing. Painted with bouquets of flowers and gold rims. H 6.5 cm. Mirror broken, thumb rest bent.
