NETSUKE.Japan, 19th century. H 2.7 cm. Ivory. Beautiful depiction of a coiled snake. A loop forms a natural himotoshi hole. On small rectangular plates, signed: Masatsugu. Acquired from St. James, Zurich in 1987.

Elfenbein. Schöne Darstellung einer in sich verschlungenen Schlange mit eingelegten Augen. Eine Schlaufe bildet ein natürliches Himotoshi. Auf Rechteckplättchen signiert: Masatsugu.
