French, 16th century
Edged iron handle tapering to the blade bolster, etched with floral and vine frieze. Beveled and stepped end with engraved rosette. Edged and grooved handle bolster. Pointed blade with decorative tendrils in the center.
L 21.7 cm.
Highly corroded. Blade with some chipped edges.
