AN INLAID MINIATURE IRON CABINET.
Japan, Meiji period, 11.8 × 8.5 × 12 cm.
Rectangular body on four bracket feet. Hinged door and fronts of three drawers at interior lavishly worked in silver and gold nunome- and hirazôgan depicting, birds, flowers and various sceneries such as Futarasan shrine in Nikkô. Ring handle on curved top. Signed on base in circular raku seal mark: Dai Nihon Kyôto Komai sei.
