The painting is registered at RKD, The Hague, as by the hand of Jan Spanjaert.
Condition:
Oil on panel. Verso with a horizontal, continuous wooden support. Paint surface shows a slight degree of wear in parts. A fine retouched horizontal hairline crack is visible in the centre.
Under UV: Retouching along the edges as well as further retouching visible in the background. Dotted retouching on the still life elements. Varnish appears in fluorescent green.
