With 12 woodcut portraits in the text. Frankfurt a. M., Paul Reffeler for T. Rebart & K. Hahn, (1563-)1570. [28] leaves (the last white), 85 leaves, [3] leaves, 105 leaves, [5] leaves (the last white), 55 leaves, [1] white leaf. Contemporary pig skin with 2 functional messing clasps (a little spotty and rubbed).

VD16 H 2208 - Adams H-303 - BM STC German 397 - Henze II, 569. - Second edition of the second traduction. - With 2 maps of russia and one plan of Moskow. - The first leaf with wormings in the white margin (without loss of text), partly some finger spots and slightly water stains to the margins, only some pages stronger affected. - II. VD16 D 1387 (only book 1) - Göllner II, 1264 (see Menavino) - Atabey 801 - see Blackmer 1112 (ann.) - not in Adams and BMC. - Probably the title edition of the first german traduction from 1563, the parts 2 and 3 within this printing year. - Flying leaves glued to front cover, old remainings of stamps erased and/ or cut out. Partly browned, sometimes waterstains. - 3 leaves with tears to margins. - All in all good copy.
