Louis XV, signed J. DUBOIS (Jacques Dubois, maître 1742), Paris ca.1750/55.
Tulipwood and purpleheart, in veneer and finely inlaid with a diamond pattern and reserves. Front with hinged writing surface, the inside lined with gold-impressed black leather over a compartment with double-doors. Fitted interior with central compartment with 2 drawers on each side, over 3 adjacent drawers and below 3 compartments of different sizes arranged in 2 rows. Gilt bronze mounts and sabots.
