PIANO
Restauration, Switzerland, early 19th century. Inscribed on a plaque "Philippe Caesar in Solothurn" (Philippe Heinrich Caesar, instrument maker in Solothurn 1784-1843).
Walnut. Rectangular body with hinged lid on pyramid legs with a semicircular bridge and lyre support. Inside with a label inscribed PH. H. CAESAR ORGAN AND INSTRUMENT MAKER IN SOLOTHURN. Two additional bells can be struck via the pedal.
