France, 19th century.
Ivory. Rectangular shape, hinged, with oval recessed portraits of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette on the inside. The corners with fleur-de-lys in relief. The upper edge with a crowned coat of arms flanked by foliate scrolls. Browned on the outside and with the monogram JB under a crown. Metal buckle and hinges.
