Régence, France, early 18th century.
Wood carved with a bacchanalian head, leaves, cartouches, tendrils and branches, painted in a cream color and parcel-gilt. Rectangular "Giallo di Siena" marble top edged with a molded wooden rod, on a cut-out frame with curved legs with trestle feet.
