ONE HAND IRON CLOCK WITH FRONT PENDULUM
Southern Germany, ca. 1680.
Closed iron case. Pierced top with stylized scrolled leaves. The dial painted with winged angel heads and a fruit garland. The lateral doors with a depiction of musketeers. Movement converted to verge escapement with front pendulum ( formerly with wheel balance). Striking mechanism with hour strike on bell. Open bell cage decorated with stylized flowers. Iron weights.
