OPULENT BUREAU-PLAT
Napoleon III, France, end of the 19th century.
Tulipwood and rosewood in veneer. Rectangular top, edged in brass, lined with gold-embossed leather, on a cut-out frame "en arbalète" with three drawers, on curved legs. Opulent, in part pierced bronze mounts. Drawer with later inventory label 'Neues Palais, Zimmer Nr. 201. LFDE Nr. 39'. 3 keys.
93 × 192 × 80 cm.
Losses and signs of use, probably slight alteration to the frame. Somewhat faded.
