LIDDED BEAKER ON SPHERICAL FEET
Augsburg, ca. 1700. Maker's mark Philipp Jakob Drentwett III.
Chased wall decorated with medallions featuring the heads of Emperors, with bunches of fruit in-between. Lid unmarked and possibly supplemented.
H 18.5 cm, 400 g.
A comparable lidded beaker by the gold- and silversmith Philipp Jakob Drentwett III (1669-1708) is kept in the Fasanerie Palace in Fulda.
