SILVER-GILT BONBONNIERE ON PRESENTOIR
Paris, middle of the 20th century. Maker's mark Puiforcat.
Élysée pattern. Curved presentoir, with a sculpted pearl rim and engraved Régence decoration. Round bonbonnière with smooth walls and convex lid, with the same decoration as the presentoir. Insert in gilt metal. Molded finial with the image of a lady.
D presentoir 32.5 cm, 2,480 g (excl. insert).

Since 1947, place settings from the traditional Puiforcat house have adorned the banquet tables of the Elysée Palace. Former French President Vincent Auriol personally chose this pattern, which is based on a model in the 18th century Régence style. To this day, service pieces in the Élysée pattern are finished by hand in the Puiforcat workshop. The gilt version is made only on request.
