A RARE "GRÜNEN FAMILIE" FAIENCE TEA CADDY,
Ansbach, c. 1725-1757.
Of oval form, painted with two Chinese couples, making music and partaking in a tea ceremony, among flowering plants, the slightly domed cover with a Chinese figure amidst a landscape.
H 9.5 cm. Hairline cracks and repair.
