Patek Philippe, extremely rare Perpetual Calendar, 1951.

Pink gold 750.
Ref. 1526, solid case No. 665497, the case back engraved: Francisco de Sola, 7 de Mayo De 1953, EMJ. Silver-plated dial with applied indices and Arabic numerals in pink gold, day and month in Spanish. High-grade hand-wound movement No. 966942, Cal. 12"120 Q, with the original compensation balance. Patek Philippe crocodile band with Patek Philippe tang buckle in pink gold. Case, dial, movement and buckle signed. D 34 mm.

"Reference 1526" was the first wristwatch series with a perpetual calendar. This model represents a milestone in the development of watches with complications. Patek Philippe only built 210 of this watch type, the majority in yellow gold, and only very few in pink gold. This is a first generation model, which can be seen by the triple indication: moon phase, small second and date at 6h.
With an Extract from the Patek Philippe Archives: Built in 1951, sold on 23 May 1953, with the described dial.
