BOULLE BUREAU PLAT "AUX BUSTES DE FEMMES",
Regence style, attributable F.H. FOURDINOIS (Henri Auguste Fourdinois, 1830 Paris 1907), the bronzes partly monogrammed GROS, Paris ca. 1870.
Brown tortoiseshell, exquisitely inlaid with brass fillets and decorative frieze. Central drawer, which can be opened at the push of a button, with 1 drawer on each side. Same but sham arrangement on verso. Exquisite matte and polished gilt bronze mounts and applications designed as "espagnolettes", mascarons, cartouches and decorative frieze. Some losses.
