MARBLE SCULPTURE OF A NYMPH,Napoleon III, probably Austria, late 19th century. "Carrara" marble. H 170 cm. Provenance: - Swiss private collection. Traditionally considered to be the first and only copy of the original, which belonged to King Ludwig II of Bavaria .

Carrara-Marmor. Stehende junge Frau mit zusammengebundenem Haar und faltenreichem Tuch, auf profiliertem Rechtecksockel. H 170 cm.


Provenienz: Schweizer Privatbesitz. Der Überlieferung nach erste und einzige Kopie des Originals, das sich im Besitz von König Ludwig II. von Bayern befunden hat.
